Summary[edit]

Description
English: An example of the Brzozowski derivative of a set of dictionary strings with respect to the prefix string "con". The set of rest strings obtained from cutting-off an initial "con" from a dictionary word is the derivative (shown on red background). Assuming the dictionary in alphabetical order as usual, none of the strings before "concept" or after "conventional" can contribute to the derivative.
