For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Aufn.: Illus L. Gabriel 19.12.50 Buntmetall für unsere Friedenswirtschaft. Am 17.12.1950 führte der Kreisausschuss der Nationalen Front in Rathenow auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen Marine-Arsenals eine Buntmetallsammlung durch, an der sich die Rathenower Schulen rege beteiligten. Schüler der Klasse 6a der "Bruno-Bürgel"-Schule sammelten während des letzten Monats allein 70 Zentner Buntmetall. UBz: Hau ruck - der schwere Brocken muß hinauf auf den Lastkraftwagen.
