For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zwickau, "Karl-Marx-Schacht", Förderturm, Bergarbeiter Illus Illner 20.3.1951 Jeder Jung-Bergarbeiter ein Jung-Aktivist. Verpflichtung der Jugendbrigade "Thoma" vom Karl-Marx-Schacht im Steinkohlenrevier Zwickau zu den Weltfestspielen der Jugend und Studenten. Bis zu den Weltfestspielen der Jugend und Studenten 1951 in Berlin will die Brigade "Thoma" vom Karl-Marx-Schacht im Zwickauer Steinkohlenrevier die Jugendlichen zu Jungaktivisten entwickeln und sie auch gesellschaftlich zu bewährten Arbeitern heranbilden. UBz: Der junge Bergarbeiter Gerhard Albrecht aus Meißen ist sich der großen Aufgaben der Jugendlichen in der Steinkohlenindustrie bewußt und verpflichtete sich wie seine Kollegen bis zu den Weltfestspielen Jungaktivist zu werden.
