Potsdam: Wasserwerk im maurischen Stil ­­- Dieses Gebäude wurde 1841-42 von Ludwig Persius zur Versorgung der Fontänen von Sanssouci entworfen. Die Gestaltung des Wasserwerkes lehnt sich äußerlich an maurische und ägyptische Formen an, während die Innenausstattung im Maschinenraum an die große Moschee von Cordoba in Spanien erinnert. Nach umfangreichen Restaurierungsarbeiten soll dieses Gebäude mit seiner historisch wertvollen Dampfmaschien von August Borsig bald allen Interessenten als Museum zugänglich sein.
