For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Nordhausen, Neubauern bei der Arbeit Zentralbild Schaar 28.4.1954 Industriearbeiter arbeiten auf dem Lande. Immer mehr Industriearbeiter erkannten die Notwendigkeit, zur Festigung der Bündnisse zwischen Stadt und Land in den Maschinen- und Traktorenstationen, Produktionsgenossenschaften und Volksgütern zu arbeiten. Damit sind sie dem Appell der Sozialistischen Einheitspartei Deutschlands gefolgt, den weiteren Aubau unserer Landwirtschaft zu fördern. UBz: Am 9. April 1954 übernahm der ehemalige Transportarbeiter aus dem Ifa-Schlepperwerk Nordhausen, Kollege Herbert Reichardt einen neuen Bauernhof bei Nordhausen, um seine Kraft dem Lande zur Verfügung zu stellen. Neubauer Norbert Reichardt beim Mistladen für das Kartoffelfeld.
