For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Leipzig, Auftritt der Dorfkulturgruppe aus Breitenfeld Zentralbild Illner Wjt-Qu. 12 Mot. 8.2.1955 Arbeitstagung über die Verbesserung der Volkskunstarbeit auf dem Lande. In Leipzig fand am 5. und 6. Februar 1955 eine Arbeitstagung des Ministeriums für Kultur mit über 300 Leitern der Volkskunstgruppen aus ländlichen Gebieten der DDR und Kulturfunktionären der Bezirke und Kreise statt. Gute Volkskunstgruppen aus den ländlichen Gebieten zeigten Ausschnitte ihrer Arbeit. Auftreten der Dorfkulturgruppe ais Breitenfeld-Altmark. UBz: Aus dem Fasselabendtanz
