For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dampflok 94 462 (BR 94), Lokbrigade Zentralbild Leipzig (Weiß) 4.4.1956 Verdiente Eisenbahner der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik 1956. Herbert Franz, Rangiermeister, Bahnhof Leipzig-Plagwitz. Begründung: Durch die Anwendung der Mamedow-Methode, seit zwei Jahren unfallfreies Arbeiten und eine gute Arbeitsdisziplin, hat es der Kollege Franz verstanden, die Wagenaufenthaltszeiten von 2,40 Stunden auf 1,88 Stunden zu senken. Die Brigade Franz besitzt den Titel "Brigade der ausgezeichneten und besten Qualität". Sie verwirklichte im Jahre 1955 ihre Verpflichtung, 10 000,-- DM einzusparen. Ein besonderes Verdienst des Kollegen Franz ist die Aufstellung eines Brigadeplanes, der es ermöglichte, die Leistungen und den verursachten Aufwand der Brigaden gegenüber zu stellen. Dieser Plan wurde von der Reichsbahndirektion am 1.4.1956 im gesamten Bezirk eingeführt. gesperrt bis zur offiziellen Auszeichnung.
