For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Retschow, Bauer beim Ausmisten Zentralbild Löwe 22.2.1957 Ehemalige Industriearbeiter gehen aufs Land Der ehemalige Arbeiter, Manfred Sauer, der vordem mit seiner Frau im Rostocker Fischkombinat tätig war und der sich im Juli 1956 gemeinsam mit seiner Frau freiwillig zur Landarbeit gemeldet hat, arbeitet heute als Melker in der LPG "Frohe Zukunft" in Retschow, Kreis Doberan. Die Familie Sauer bekam beim Eintritt in die LPG 1400DM für die ersten Anschaffungen sowie zwei ha Land. Die Familie erhielt eine Wohnung mit zwei Zimmern, Küche und einige Nebenräume zugewiesen. Heute nennen sie eine Kuh, fünf Schweine und 20 Hühner ihr eigen. In diesem Jahr soll der gesamte Genossenschaftsanteil des Ehepaares gespart werden, um noch verschiedene Anschaffungen, unter anderem ein Motorrad, zu machen. Die laufenden Kosten bestreitet die familie Sauer vor allem aus dem Erlös der freien Spitzen ihrer induviduellen Wirtschaft. UBz: Manfred Sauer beim Ausmisten des Stalles."
