Zentralbild Schaar 5.12.1962 Zum "Tag des Gesundheitswesens"! Bezirkskrankenhaus für Lungenkrankheiten in Leipzig erweitert Nach knapp dreijähriger Bauzeit konnte der Erweiterungsbau am Bezirkskrankenhaus für Lungenkrankheiten in Leipzig Ende Oktober 1962 planmäßig fertiggestellt werden. Das Krankenhaus wurde mit einem Kostenaufwand von 5,5 Mio. MK nach modernsten Gesichtspunkten, den besonderen Erfordernissen entsprechend erweitert, mit den notwendigen technischen, wissenschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Einrichtungen versehen und bietet nun 146 Patienten Platz. Der Neubau rundet das Profil des Bezirkskrankenhauses, daß 1948 als Tuberkulose-Kurhaus mit 40 Betten in der ehemaligen Villa des Fabrikbesitzers Sack gegründet wurde, auf das Beste ab.
