| Description |
Nederlands: Repronegatief. Een van de activiteiten van Gouverneur-Generaal Daendels, waardoor hij zowel beroemd als berucht is geworden, was de aanleg van de zogeheten Grote Postweg. Die zou uiteindelijk van het uiterste Westen naar het verre Oosten van Java lopen. Hierdoor werden de verbindingen over land meteen stukken beter, maar de aanleg van de weg schijnt veel mensenlevens gekost te hebben. Hier zien we een stukje postweg met, naast auto's en motoren, dat andere, toen vrij nieuwe middel van vervoer, de fiets.
