English: 1860 Saint Isidore the Laborer Parish Church/ Simbahan ni San Isidro Labrador/ Church of Calauan (Calauan, Laguna)[1] --- In 1860, a church made of bricks and stone to honor its patron saints San Isidro Labrador and San Roque. Doña Eleuteria Punzalan financed its construction, while Don Paulino Gavino Oliva donated the church bell in 1867.[2] (Calauan town proper) Coordinates: 14°8'41"N 121°18'55"E [3] Church built through the efforts of Don Andres Roxas[4] ----- Calauan, Laguna, [5] Philippines - José Rizal, [6] ----------------- It belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Pablo [7] - Vicariate of the Immaculate Conception ----- Calauan, Laguna [8] is a second class municipality in the province of Laguna, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 74,890 people.Website The town got its name from the term kalawang, which means rust. Calauan is known for the Pineapple Festival, which is celebrated every May. (Note: I decided to re-take and/or to re-photograph this heritage, landmark Church of Calauan, since last time the Church is closed, and in addition, the sun is very perfect shining into the facade).
