English: Capitals from ar-Raqqa, in northern Syria, 9th century CE. The capitals show obvious influence from Samarra art in the use of the beveled style of carving. Alabaster, marble. Islamic Art Museum (Museum für Islamische Kunst), Berlin, Germany.
