Description The former German destroyer Z39 underway off Boston, Massachusetts (USA), on 12 September 1945. The U.S. Navy designated the destoyer DD-939. Note the German radars, 20 mm quad anti-aircraft gun, 37 mm twin anti-aircraft gun, and the mine tracks.
