| Description | Dedicada a Santa Maria, a Catedral de Évora foi edificada nos séculos XIII e XIV, sob o patrocínio real de D. Afonso III e do bispo D. Durando Pais, nos estilos românico e gótico, destacando-se o pórtico ogival, guarnecido por esculturas do Apostolado e o claustro. Anteriormente existiu outra sede episcopal, mas ignora-se a sua localização. A capela-mor é do século XVIII (estilo barroco), de autoria do arquiteto alemão Frederico Ludovici. No seu interior, existem muitos elementos arquitetónicos e artísticos de relevância, como o cadeiral do coro, o órgão renascentista, as peças do Museu de Arte Sacra (escultura, pintura, paramentaria e ourivesaria), entre outros. <a href="https://www.cm-evora.pt/locais/catedral-de-evora/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">www.cm-evora.pt/locais/catedral-de-evora/</a> |
