Summary[edit]

Description
English: The St. Charles Air Line is used to carry freight and Amtrak traffic over the Chicago River at 16th Street.

The massive vacant parcel was once owned by Tony Rezko who was convicted of corruption and fraud. It is also called Riverside Park by some. The land is separated from that history, now, and will be developed by Related Midwest. The company calls it "The 78", believing it will be the city's 78th neighborhood (which is odd because there are 77 "community areas" that are fixed, and something so small would not be designated as a new community area). The site is 62 acres large.

The park in the foreground is the extension of Ping Tom Park, and has a boathouse in which kayaks are stored.
