Summary[edit]

Description 031206-N-6967M-006 The first time that any athletes wore a uniform at the 2003 Military World Games was during the closing ceremony. The rest of the time warm-ups with the country's name was the norm. The Military World Games in Catania, Italy consisted of 86 participating countries and are designed to promote "Peace through Sports.” Russia won the overall medal competition at the games with 108, including 39 gold.
