English: Papilio clytia form clytia, underside (mimics the Common Indian Crow, Euploea core)

The Common Mime, Papilio clytia, is a Swallowtail butterfly found in South and South-east Asia. The butterfly belongs to the Chilasa group or the Black-bodied Swallowtails. It serves an excellent example of a Batesian mimic among the Indian butterflies.

മലയാളം: വഴന ശലഭത്തിന്റെ അടിഭാഗം. അരളി ശലഭത്തെ അനുകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ദക്ഷിണ, ദക്ഷിണ-പൂർവ്വ ഏഷ്യയിൽ കാണാവുന്ന നീൾവാലൻ ശലഭങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് വഴനശലഭം. എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ കടവൂര് നിന്നുമെടുത്ത ചിത്രം.
