Description
Español: CONJUNCIÓN JÚPITER - RÉGULUS.

En los atardeceres desde el 10.08.2015 hasta el 12.08.2015 ocurrirá la conjunción entre Júpiter y alfa Leo (Régulus, del latín: diminutivo de Rex, “pequeño rey”), aunque muy baja sobre el horizonte ENE.

La imagen está diseñada para un observador ubicado en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires y 30 minutos luego de la puesta del Sol (~18:50 hs.). Las alturas y ubicaciones son válidas para latitudes próximas (en todo el país).

Es mejor observar tal conjunción con unos buenos binoculares o con un pequeño telescopio (70 aumentos).

DIA 10.08:
Distancia angular: 25’ 40,47”

DIA 11.08:
Distancia angular: 24’ 01,65” (día de observación a mínima distancia).

DIA 12.08:
Distancia angular: 28’ 48,46” (casi una Luna llena).

La máxima aproximación entre ambos astros ocurrirá el 11.08.2015 a las 15:40:59 hs. (Tiempo Universal Greenwich, -3 hs. hora argentina) y a una mínima distancia angular de 23’ 55” (en Latitud S 34° 35’). Además, tal conjunción, puede servir para el cálculo del período orbital de Júpiter, es decir de conjunción hasta la siguiente (~ 11 años 315 días).

Magnitud de Régulus: +1,35
Magnitud de Júpiter: -1,7

Ambos astros en la constelación de LEO.
