English: Hand-drawn images inspired from various low-resolution images of continental drifts. Positions were extrapolated by doing 'in-between' images of existing frames, trading accuracy for fluidity of movement. This is *not* an accurate scientific representation. Please do not start excavating archeological sites based on these maps!
I just needed to show the general trend of continental drift, the formation of Pangea (the supercontinent), and its break up, until continents reach today's positions. The first frame starts at 740 million years, the last frame is today. Each frame moves forward in time approx 10-to-20 million years. Feel free to use this animation, or any part of it, in any way your heart desires. Cheers! -- Images dessinées à la main, inspirées de plusieurs images en basse-résolution de déplacements des continents. Les positions 'entre-deux' ont été extrapolées à partir d'images existantes - ce que j'ai perdu en précision, j'ai gagné en fluidité des déplacements. Ceci n'est *pas* une représentation scientifique exacte. S.V.P. ne vous basez pas sur ces cartes pour effectuer des fouilles archéologiques! J'avais simplement besoin de montrer la tendance générale des continents lors de leurs déplacements, la formation du supercontinent Pangée, et son morcellement jusqu'aux positions actuelles des continents. La première image se situe autour de 740 millions d'années, la dernière image montre les positions actuelles. Chaque nouvelle image avance dans le temps d'environ 10-à-20 millions d'années.
