Description |
English: Copera marginipes, Yellow Bush Dart, is a species of damselfly in the Platycnemididae family. The male is easy to spot with its bright yellow legs and end segments that are white. Its caudal appendages are also large.
ID key: "Differs from the male in several respects: the abdomen (very slim in the male) is comparatively stout and cylindrical, the ground-colour is drab and of varying shades of brown, whilst the black and darker markings are more restricted. Anal appendages shorter than segment 10, conical, pale brownish-white; vulvar scales brown, barely reaching end of abdomen. - Fraser, Odonata vol I, page 194" |
