Summary[edit]

Description Lombard Street in Downtown San fracisco on the Russian Hill has a small portion between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets which has 8 hairpin bends (Switchbacks). Nice test of your driving skills to drive down the bends which were incorporated into the road design in 1922. This section, known as the Crooked Street attracts the maximum number of tourists.
