The video briefly explores the difficulty of establishing national parks and conservation areas in densely populated countries with cultural landscapes. For example, landscapes in the Netherlands are mostly the product of human intervention and can therefore be described as a cultural artefact.The Dutch Nature Scenery Act of 1928 tried to combine conservation of natural and cultural landscapes by protecting country houses set in park like settings. |
