English: Charles H. Tweed's forty foot cutter Minerva was designed by William Fife & Son and built on the River Clyde in 1888, then crossed the Atlantic in the fall of that year. In 1889 she won nearly every race on the Eastern seaboard with skipper Charlie Barr. Pictured in the Hovey Cup, July 13th, 1889.
