Summary[edit]

Description This statue of Vishnu (or Ta Reach), the Hindu deity to whom the Temple of Angkor Wat is dedicated, is situated in the West Entryway of the Outer Enclosure and stands around 5 meters tall. It is carved from a single piece of sandstone and is draped with clothing and offerings from modern pilgrims to the site.
