  • Black spokes are connected to the main motorized axis
  • Green spokes are freewheeling around an adjustable, excentric axis. One of them is fixed to the central ring, the others are movable on a joint
  • Light blue lines: tangent to the circle the airfoils move in
  • Green dashed line: direction of the chord of the airfoil is outside tangent: positive angle of attack
  • Red dashed line: direction of the chord of the airfoil is inside tangent: negative angle of attack
  • Blue arrows: Thrust of the indiviual airfoils
Deutsch: Animation der mechanischin Prinzipien eines Cyclogyro.
  • Schwarze Speichen sind mit der motorisierten Hauptachse verbunden
  • Grüne Speichen drehen frei um eine verstellbare, exentrische Achse. Eine der Speichen ist am zentralen ring fixiert, die anderen sind beweglich an Gelenken montiert
  • Hellblaue Linien: Tangente zu dem Kreis, dem die Bewegung der Tragflächen folgt
  • Grüne Strichlinie: Richtung der Profilsehne zeigt nach außerhalb der Tangente: positiver Anstellwinkel
  • Rote Strichlinie: Richtung der Profilsehne zeigt nach innerhalb der Tangente: negativer Anstellwinkel
  • Blaue Pfeile: Schubkraft der einzelnen Tragflächen
