Deutsch: Das Wappen ist fast identisch mit dem der ehemaligen Gemeinde Bad Niederbreisig (Pfeilspitzen waren silbern statt blau). Der vordere Teil steht redend für das seit 1914 bestehende Thermalbad. Der hintere Teil erinnert an die frühere Zugehörigkeit zum Stift Stift Essen als Landesherr des Breisiger Ländchens seit 998. Die kugeln stehen für die sechs ehemaligen Gemeinden des Breisiger Ländchens. Es umfaßte die Gemeinden Ober- und Niederbreisig, Ober- und Niederlützingen, Gönnersdorf und Brohl.
English: The arms are nearly identic to the arms of the former muncipality of Bad Niederbreisig (only the arrow-heads are changed from Argent to azure). The front part is canting and remember on the fonding of the thermal bath in 1914. The rear part are derived from the arms of the Essen Abbey, who ruled about the "Breisiger Ländchen" since 998. The hurts symbolise the former municipalties Ober- und Niederbreisig, Ober- und Niederlützingen, Gönnersdorf und Brohl. |
