Description The A-side of the runestone DR 81. George Stephens lists this stone among those which bear the face of Thor. The inscription reads soskiriþr : risþi : stin : finulfs : tutiR : at : uþinkaur : usbiarnaR : sun : þoh : tura : uk : hin : turutin:fasta : siþi : sa : monr : is ¶ : þusi : kubl : ub : biruti. In English "§A Sasgerðr, Finnulfr's daughter, raised the stone, in memory of Óðinkárr Ásbjôrn's son, the valued and loyal to his lord. §B A sorcerer (be) the man who breaks this monument!" A number of runestones from Central Jutland shows symbols commonly referred to as a "mask". This symbol has never been positively identified, but P.V. Glob identified these "masks" as deterrents protecting travellers from evil spirits.
