Description
English: Woods at the site of Dale's Pale, a fortification built in 1613 to protect the newly founded settlement of Bermuda Hundred on the James River. Now located along Bermuda Hundred Road and surrounded by large industrial facilities, Dale's Pale has been declared a historic district and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
