Description
English: The Danish Seamen's Church at 10 Pender Road on Mount Faber, Singapore, which has leased the building since 1984. The mansion was designed by Wee Moh Teck and constructed in 1909 by Tan Boo Liat, a great-grandson of the philanthropist Tan Tock Seng. Tan Boo Liat named it Golden Bell Mansion after his grandfather Tan Kim Ching (

– "
金钟
" means "golden bell"). As Tan Boo Liat was president of the Singapore branch of the Kuomintang, he invited Dr. Sun Yat-Sen to stay in the house briefly in 1911. The house was sold in 1934 following Tan's death.
