Notes This is Rossetti's largest ever painting.
The attendants were modelled by Marie Spartali Stillman (right), and Alexa Wilding (left); Beatrice was modelled by Jane Morris; the face of Love was modelled by Johnston Forbes-Robertson and Dante's face corresponde to William James Stillman.
