| Description |
English: The Dasara festival in Kulasekarapattinam in Tamil Nadu, South India is celebrated by devotees dressing as goddess Kali & offering pooja at the Mutharamman temple and then have a holy dip in the sea & disrobe their avatar. Every year its a grand festival with half a million people converging at this coastal temple. The festival goes on for 10 days and on the final day, the Surasamharam(killing of the Demon by the Goddess Kali) takes place.
