English: Dead cliffs on Criccieth Beach Taken from the sea shore. This was the active coastline after the last ice age. Since then isostatic change has pushed the coastline up moving the cliffs away from the sea. The pebbles have piled up in front of the cliffs, cutting off the estuary behind. Taken on a fieldtrip |
