| Description |
English: Deeping St James Low Locks The lock situated on the opposite side of the weir/footbridge was the first of twelve locks built between Deeping and Stamford. The canalised river was first used in the 1660s. It was in use until the mid 1800s when competition from the railway caused it to close. |
