Summary[edit]

Description
Deutsch: Die "Tote von Niederpöring", ausgestellt im "Museum Quintana" in Künzing, Bayern.
English: The "Dead woman of Niederpöring", exhibited at the "Museum Quintana" in Künzing, Bavaria, Germany. In 2015, during excavations in Niederpöring, the 7,000-year-old remains of a woman were found. She is associated with the Linear Pottery culture. The woman had worn as a headdress a leather band decorated with about 400 snail shells of the now rare Theodoxus danubialis. This "jewelry" indicates that this woman had a high social position.[1] The remains of this headdress are partially preserved, as can be seen in the photo.
