English: This is an oversimplified cross sectional image of a dome and keel structure. It is a structure consisting of tonalite-trondhjemite-granodiorite (TTG) diapers, with mafic and ultramafic layers wrapped around them (specifically komatiites and basalts). This type of structure is commonly found with in greenstone belts, however, the origin of their formation is uncertain.
