English: Doppler radar: Effect of the cosine factor on the change in radial distance Δr (dark blue) at a given displacement of the reflector (green) by an amount Δs for typical geometries of different applications, from top: heart-rate monitoring, radar trap, train speed, aircraft speed.
Deutsch: Doppler-Radar: Auswirkung des Kosinus-Faktors auf die Größe der Änderung der radialen Entfernung Δr (dunkelblau) bei gegebener Verschiebung des Reflektors (grün) um den Betrag Δs für typische Geometrien verschiedener Anwendungen (siehe Doppler-Radar (cw)). Die Sende- und Empfangsantenne ist rechts oben.
