DRUMM SEED AND FLORAL COMPANY. 25 than La France ever attained. Don't fail to get this new rose. Price, 15c each; large two-year-old plants, 40c each. CRIMSON LA FRANCE—(La France de '89.) Pro- nounced by all the noted French rosarians as the most re- markable Hybrid Tea of late years. One notable peculiarity of this variety is its long, elegant buds, which are often two to three inches long, while the expanded flowers are of im- mense size. Another strong point is its bright color, which is very nearly scarlet, sometimes lined and bordered with pure white. The very brightest and most brilliant rose we know. Still another point in its favor is the sweet fragrance—a pre- cious trait in the rose. Undoubtedly a rose of enchanting beauty. It will please you. Price, 15c each. RED LiA FRANCE—(Duchess of Albany.) We wish to impress the fact that as a rose for all purposes it has no peer. It is identical with La France excepting in three points. These are: A more vigorous growth, a larger and more ex- panded flower, and a deep, even pink in color, not shaded, but what is termed a solid color. Ladies prefer it on account of its beautiful color to any other rose for personal adornment, as it shows up well against either light or dark dress goods to charming advantage. The growth of the General Robert E. Lee is a true ever-blooming rose, and belongs to the Tea section. In its freedom of bloom it takes rank in the lead of all other roses. We have no hesitancy in saying that we believe it will produce more roses than any variety existing. The great beauty and value of the rose is in the elegant shape and color of its buds and bloom. There is no other rose like it in either respect. The buds are borne on long stems, and are long and somewhat more open at the end of the bud than is seen in the other varieties—the ar- rangement of the petals interlacing so nicely as to give the buds a charming, light, fluffy effect. The open flowers of this rose are perfectly double to the center. It is extremely beautiful, both in bud and open flower. The coloring of this wonderful rose is very difficult to describe It is a shade of yellow hitherto unknown in this flower, and is what is termed a solid color, while the center of the flower may be a shade deeper than the outer petals, still it is hardly percept- ible. As near as we can name the color, it is soft Nasturtium yellow, or coppery bronze. Taken altogether, it is the most wonderful rose, in every particular, of the century. Our stock of General Robert E. Lee was pro- cured from the introducer, and our customers

plant is exceedingly vigorous, and the flowers, which are thrown up well above the foli- age, are produced in extraordi- nary profusion, the plant being covered with handsome flowers. You would make no mistake to plant one hundred or more of this one variety. Price, 15c each; large two-year-old plants, 40c each. NEW EVER-BLOOMING ROSE—GEN. ROBERT E. LEE. GENERAL ROBERT E. LEE. This is a most wonderful rose. The introducer's descrip- tion: distinct in its vigorous growth and beautiful foliage; distinct in the shape and appearance of its elegant buds and flowers; notably distinct in the great freedom of its blooms; remarkably distinct in its exquisite coloring, it is the wonder and admiration of all who see it. Another year's trial of this beautiful rose only serves to enhance it in our affections and favor. It is matchless in its beauty. It is a queen among queens. So we say to all rose lovers, give the General R. E. Lee a trial, and you will agree with us that it stands alone in its great beauty. This magnificent new rose was raised bv a Mr. Meehan, of Richmond, Virginia, and named by him in honor of one of the greatest generals the world has ever known. We feel confi- dent that its great beauty will win for it a lasting place in the affections of allloversof beautiful roses, andit is agemindeed. can rely on getting good stock and true to name. Price, strong young plants, 20c each; 3 for 60c or 7for$l. Don't fail to try one or more plants of it, as it will be sure to please you. CRISP WHITE ROSES. NEW TEA ROSE, SNOWFLiAKE—This is a lovely white rose, a pure Tea, but a foreign seedling; the freest flowering white rose we have seen. It will be especially useful inset designs. For a pot plant it cannot be excelled, as it possesses every good quality of a pot rose. We counted on one plant one hundred and forty-three buds und flowers in a single day, and the plant was only nine months old. It can be used in place of white carnations for set pieces at an immense saving, be- cause it can be bloomed profitably at $1.00 per 100 buds. Not only will it cover twice and three times the space in a funeral design, for instance, that a carnation covers, but it will give greatly superior results. Try it. Price, 20c each. MARIE GUILLOT—This beautiful Tea Rose continues in popular favor and maintains its position as one of the best white roses of its class. Flowers of an unusual style, en- tirely double to the center, and very sweet-scented. Habit of growth the best. Price, 10c each. Do you know there is mor money in good Cliickens than any small investment you can make?
