  • Significance: The Boise Basin Mercantile Company is a block of three early "bricks" used as commercial institutions. The first "brick" on the northeast corner of Main and Commercial Streets was originally a store, and later a bank. The second "brick" on Commercial Street was known as Thomas Barry's store. The third "brick," the present main building facing Main Street, has been a general store since construction.
