DescriptionDublin Christ Church Cathedral Lady Chapel South Window Wedding Feast at Cana 2012 09 26.jpg |
Christ Church Cathedral, High Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland English: Stained glass window in the south wall of the Lady Chapel, depicting the Wedding Feast at Cana (upper section) and Moses Striking the Rock (lower section) along with Saint James the Less (top-most section) and Saint Thomas (centre section). Both major sections quote from the scripture: dicit eis Iesus implete hydrias aqua (John 2:7) and egressae sunt aquae largissimae (Numbers 20:11). Created by Clayton & Bell, London, c. 1878. Note that image has been retouched to blind a lamp located directly at the right border as it was far too distracting. |
