English: Earl Haig with King George V at a rugby match at Twickenham in 1919. Earl Haig stands second from the left, holding a piece of paper in his right hand and staring intently at the King, who is smiling into the camera. This photograph was released on Haig's death in 1928.

[Original reads: 'EARL HAIG DEAD. Field Marshal Earl Haig died today states the Press Association. Death is believed to have been due to heart disease. Death occurred shortly after mid-night. Standard. Jan.30th.' [1928] + 'Earl Haig with the King at Rugby Match at Twickenham in 1919.']
