Le bâtiment de la Manutention. En 1899, la société des Eaux d'Evian construit, sur les plans de l’architecte Brunnarius, la «Manutention». Ce bâtiment, de style savoyard, s’avère rapidement insuffisant. Le site de la «Manutention» est malcommode. Une autre petite usine existait déjà en 1891, près de la gare ; on y effectuait le chargement des caisses. Dès 1904, une nouvelle usine est projetée sur les plans de l’architecte Hébrard. Elle va finalement être construite à l’entrée d’Evian, sur un talus proche de la gare, en 1909/1910. Le bâtiment de la Manutention abrite aujourd'hui les bureaux de la société des Eaux d'Evian.
In 1899, the company Eaux d'Evian built on the plans of the architect Brunnarius the "Handling". This building, Savoyard style quickly becomes inadequate. The site of the "Handling Operations" is not practical. Another small factory already existed in 1891, near the station, there was on the loading crates. Of 1904, a new factory is projected on plans by architect Hebrard. It will eventually be built at the entrance of Evian, on a talus near the station in 1909/1910. The building now houses the offices Handling Operations company Evian Water. |
