Description
English: Ex-libris of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc. The first one on blue background is the monogram EVL of Viollet-le-Duc with its Greek motto : Examine all things and hold fast to what is good (Saint-Paul, Thessalonicians, 5-21). The second one is the one of his great grand-daughter, with the "grand duc" owl, bird symbol of the family. Charenton-le-Pont, médiathèque de l'architecture et du patrimoine, 2012/024-125(5).
Français : Ex-libris d'Eugène Viollet-le-Duc. Le premier sur fond bleu est le monogramme EVL de Viollet-le-Duc avec sa devise en grec : Examinez toutes choses et retenez ce qui est bon (Saint-Paul, épitre aux Thessaloniciens, 5-21). Le second est celui de son arrière petite-fille, avec le grand duc, oiseau symbole de la famille. Charenton-le-Pont, médiathèque de l'architecture et du patrimoine, 2012/024-125(5).
