Description	A U.S. Navy Vought F-8E Crusader (BuNo 149185) from Fighter Squadron 53 (VF-53) "Iron Angles" on an elevator of the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14). VF-53 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 5 (CVW-5) aboard the Ticonderoga for a deployment to the Western Pacific and Vietnam from 14 April to 15 December 1964. The Crusader is armed with AIM-9B Sidewinder missiles.
