Description
English: Two U.S. Navy McDonnell F2H-3 Banshees of Composite Squadron 3 (VC-3) Det.M "Blue Nemesis" are parked flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CVA-12), during U.S. Seventh Fleet operations in the Far East, 1 October 1954. The plane closest to the camera is BuNo 127542. VC-3 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 9 (CVG-9) aboard the Hornet for her world cruise from 11 May to 12 December 1954.
