Description Farid Ullah, British Broadcasting Company satellite engineer, right, checks system and equipment settings in the gallery of British Broadcasting Company studios in Kabul, Afghanistan, July 29, 2011, prior to a satellite interview of Lt. Gen. William B. Caldwell, IV, by Zeinab Badawi, BBC television and radio journalist, from London for a segment to air on “Hardtalk.” Ms. Badawi interviewed General Caldwell about the current and future progress of the training mission in Afghanistan and the tentative 2014 coalition to Afghan forces security transition. General Caldwell expressed his confidence in the Afghan’s abilities to establish and maintain their own security forces and that NATO will continue to provide support and mentorship after the 2014 transition. The full interview is scheduled to air on BBC World News July 31 at 11:30 p.m. EST, Aug. 1 at 4:40 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EST, on the BBC News Channel Aug. 1 at 4:30 a.m. BST and Aug. 2 at 12:30 a.m. BST.
