Español: Fernando Errázuriz Aldunate o Fernando de Errázuriz y Martínez de Aldunate1 (Santiago, 1 de junio de 1777 - ibídem, 16 de agosto de 1841) fue regidor, diputado, senador, miembro de la Junta de Gobierno, Director Supremo Delegado, Presidente provisorio y Vicepresidente de la República de Chile. Fernando Errázuriz fue sepultado en La Merced. Tres años más tarde, el 21 de septiembre de 1844 su viuda, Carmen Sotomayor, dispone del resto de sus bienes en forma extrajudicial. Su esposa Carmen Sotomayor falleció el 24 de septiembre de 1852. Ella y su esposo están enterrados juntos en el atrio de la Iglesia de la Merced, bajo un hermoso mausoleo, que tiene el siguiente epitafio: Aquí yacen los restos de Fernando Errázuriz y los de su esposa, Carmen Sotomayor
English: Fernando de Errázuriz y Martínez de Aldunate (June 1, 1777 – August 16, 1841), also known as Fernando Errázuriz Aldunate, was a Chilean political figure. He served as provisional president of Chile in 1831. Errázuriz was born in Santiago of Chile, the son of Francisco Javier de Errázuriz y Madariaga and of María Rosa Aldunate y Guerrero Carrera. He became a lawyer and participated in the independence movement in Chile. On October 2, 1801 he married María del Carmen Sotomayor Elzo, with whom he had 8 children.
