| Description |
English: First view of the Cae'r Defaid Slate Mine This mine which operated in the late 19th and early twentieth centuries is also known as the Rhobell Quarry and Ty Ucha Quarry. The top part of the quarry was the first to be developed, but it failed to prosper. The lower half accessed by a separate adit was worked as a slab mine by a Caernarfonshire company of slate masons and proved much more profitable. |
