فارسی: کاخ چهلستون از بناهای تاریخی اصفهان است. کاخ چهل ستون که بالغ بر ۶۷۰۰۰ متر مربع مساحت دارد، در دوره شاه عباس یکم احداث آن آغاز شد و در وسط آن عمارتی ساخته شده بود. شاه عباس اول، کوشکی درمیان باغ بنا نهاد که این کوشک هسته اولیه کاخ را تشکیل داد که تالار میانی کاخ چهل ستون و غرفههای چهار گوشه آن را در بر میگرفت.
English: Chehel Sotoun (also Chihil Sutun or Chehel Sotoon; Persian: چهل ستون, literally: “Forty Columns”) is a pavilion in the middle of a park at the far end of a long pool, in Isfahan, Iran, built by Shah Abbas II to be used for his entertainment and receptions. In this palace, Shah Abbas II and his successors would receive dignitaries and ambassadors, either on the terrace or in one of the stately reception halls.
العربية: وتسمى بالفارسية (چهلستون): وهو بناء معماري بني في العهد الصفوي في مدينة أصفهان حوالي القرن الحادي عشر الهجري. وفي الحقيقة فإن عدد الأعمدة هو عشرون عمودا فقط، ولكن انعكاسها في الماء ينتج صورة لعشرين أخرى، ولذلك تسمى الأربعين عموداً.
