"El Municipio de Puerto Guzmán además de sus otros símbolos regionales tiene una bandera que está conformada por tres colores y una estrella que se la puede descifrar de la siguiente manera: LA ESTRELLA COLOR AMARILLO: Representa la riqueza étnico cultural. BLANCO: La pureza de sus aires, la tranquilidad de su gente y su amabilidad. AZUL: Sus ríos, el azul del firmamento que día a día nos cubre. VERDE: Su flora y sus montañas.
