Description GULF OF ADEN (Dec. 27, 2010) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Mark Hernandez signals an MV-22 Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 266 (Reinforced), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (26th MEU), to take off from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is the command ship of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
